Move to Mexico and Central America

Are you considering a move? Let me guide you

Thinking about a move to Central America?

Would you like expert assistance to guide you to the next step?

According to most baby boomers, the best places to live are near open organic markets, good hospitals and plenty of open spaces for walking, biking, and jogging.

Of course, If you want to hang around in shorts and tee shirts, there are great places in Guatemala, Belize, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, and more.

Have you been thinking about a move? Tired of living where you presently live? Wanting to get more BANG for your buck, wanting to start something new and exciting, want to have more free time to do the things you have only dreamed about?

Covid has opened our minds to new ways of living and working remotely, and has stopped the sometimes endless cycle that we have been living… sometimes those start up business ideas end up costing too much at home. Perhaps you are wanting to give back to help others… well there are many entrepreneurial opportunities to dive into.

Did I hit a cord with you  that might entertain a thought of investigating moving to Central America?

Best Places to Retire Should Include:

Hospital, emergency care, and local doctors and dentists.

2. An Accessible Workplace with High Speed Internet.
Most retiring boomers will continue working to some degree through Zoom and other options. Option to start your own business as an entrepreneur.

3. Ease of getting around without a car. Wow, walking to local streets and meeting people

4. Low Tax Rate. learn about tax rates, and how to work with taxes in your home state or country.

5. Low Crime Rate and Safety.  Think smart and find places with a more secure environment.

6. Good  Healthy Food Options. Lots of fresh produce from local markets. Fresh grown  coffee, chocolate, beverages, natural alternatives to medicine.

7. Weather and Climate also  important as you search highlands, lowlands, beaches, and forests. Climate      in these areas could be favorable all year long.

8. Connections with Expats. This is also important to be able to connect with like minded individuals that took the plunge without regrets.

9. Nature.  Flora and fauna. Blue Skies. Things to spark your senses.

10. Pure  Enjoyment every day

Let's talk about the places you might be considering, or start a conversation about the type of lifestyle you are seeking…

Over 78 million baby boomers will retire during the next 15 years.

With a life expectancy exceeding 85, the way you look at retirement is going to change drastically.

Post Covid, has opened our eyes to  new alternatives. Many are making the move and  not  regretting it.

Expat websites and  personal connections help you transition to these new locations. Connections  with people that already  moved made the difference for  my move.

Consider short term rentals to vacation in these area to explore.

And increase your choices.

If you're on a tight budget...
There are many affordable places that are safe and and beautiful. It all depends on your desires and where you want to live.

Retirement planning tips...
Search for retirement destinations with a moderate population of retirees. You will want to be around like-minded individuals.

Young and ready for a change…

Look for youthful energized locations where your skills or ambitions will catapult you to new endeavors.

Make a List in Order of Importance

  • What is indispensable to you?
  • What are your  top three determining factors?
  • Are you an urban  yuppie boomer?
  • Or do you prefer  the sounds of silence and open fields?
  • City life , Country life, Waterfront,  or Mountain  highlands?
  • Sports like hiking, mountain climbing, scuba/snorkeling, biking, golf, soccer, fishing
  • The arts and history, museums or  creative artist havens

You may have a long list of determining factors...

Choose three.
These will be your main search criteria for finding the best places to retire. The rest go on your wish list.

Paying Taxes
Every location varies when it comes to property taxes, sales taxes, and local income taxes. Find out what the exemptions are. Write to corresponding chambers of commerce for information on taxes, housing, and weather. Find out which country is the best fit for you before making a decision.

Moving to central America
When Choosing a location, make a list and narrow it down to your top five spots. Create detailed budgets for each. But don't spend years analyzing and second-guessing yourself.

Invest
Look for a stable government and a re-sale market when searching for that perfect location. Just remember not to wait too long. Time has a way from getting away from us. Some clients delay in making the right decision.. “is the pool too hot, or too cold, is it too sunny or cloudy… now might be the BEST time to just jump in!”
